Liverpool are said to be among a host of European clubs tracking Julian Brandt.
The winger has become a seasoned figure for Bayer Leverkusen despite his relatively tender age since making his senior debut three seasons ago.
And reports in Germany claim that Brandt’s rise has not gone unnoticed by the Reds and other of the continent’s elite sides in recent months.
Express have placed Jurgen Klopp’s side alongside Manchester City, Juventus, AC Milan and Leverkusen’s Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich in tracking the 20-year-old.
Brandt’s current contract at the BayArena will expire in 2019, with a modest £10.75 million release clause set to be triggered a year prior.
His father and agent Papa has hinted that the German international could extend his stay with Leverkusen but insists nothing will be decided until next summer.
He said: “Of course, there is interest, but there are no negotiations or preliminary talks with other clubs.
“Julian decides what he is doing. This is often a decision of the belly, in which timing also plays an important role.
“We are always in touch with Bayer. I think that we’ll get together in the summer of 2017 at the latest to decide how to go on.
“I can understand that Leverkusen wants clarity.”
