Jarell Quansah has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

Quansah enjoyed a meteoric rise after being handed his first-team debut by Jurgen Klopp at the beginning of last season before going onto make over 30 outings.

The Warrington-born academy graduate also ended the campaign as the Reds’ first-choice partner alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of their defence.

Arne Slot’s side are expected to safeguard fellow centre-back Ibrahima Konate’s future after Quansah signed an improved deal that takes him until summer 2028.

“I couldn’t be happier at this minute,” said Quansah.

“I think the way the new manager has come in, his coaching style has definitely been a massive part of that and I think it is the best club in the world for me to develop at and become a better player.

“I think the players around me, who I’m looking to work hard off and listen to, I think they’re the best in the position at the minute.

“So, like I said, there is probably no better place I could be.”
