Federico Chiesa has spoken about his impending transfer to Liverpool.
A deal worth £10.9 million was brokered between Anfield chiefs and Juventus for the Italy international to become Arne Slot’s second summer signing.
Chiesa has been deemed surplus to requirement by the Serie A giants this summer and was previously touted with moves to Barcelona and Chelsea.
The 26-year-old spoke to reporters in his homeland on Wednesday to confirm the move to Merseyside, expected to be finalised within the next 24 hours.
“I’m very happy,” Chiesa.
“I can’t wait to become new Liverpool player. Me and my family, we’re so happy really.
“Let me say thanks to Juventus and the fans, they have been always special with me.
“Now it’s time for Liverpool, I’m so happy. I can’t wait!”
