Liverpool will play a pre-season double header against La Liga opposition.
Sevilla have already been confirmed as the opponents for Arne Slot’s first outing at Anfield in the club’s final summer friendly on Sunday, August 11.
But the Reds have now confirmed that a second fixture will take place on the same day with Las Palmas heading to Merseyside to take on Slot’s charges.
The game will kick off at 5pm, several hours after Sevilla’s lunchtime visit, and is set to be held without supporters present in a behind-closed-doors setting.
However the match will be shown live on the club’s LFCTV GO platform.
It marks only the second time Liverpool and Las Palmas have faced off with their previous meeting coming in May 1968 for Ernesto Aparicio’s testimonial.
Chris Lawler scored the only goal of the game in the end-of-season fixture at Los Amarillos’ former Estadio Insular home, which was closed in 2003.
Liverpool will round off their pre-season tour of the US against Manchester United on Saturday, having already racked up wins over Real Betis and Arsenal.
