Liverpool name 28-man squad for US tour

Liverpool have confirmed their initial squad for the upcoming US tour.

Arne Slot’s side are set to take on Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in friendlies during their first trip across the Atlantic since summer 2019.

A total of 28 players have been named in the Reds’ travelling party which sets off from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for stateside on Tuesday afternoon.

Established first-teamers Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Wataru Endo are among those to feature alongside the club’s various academy graduates.

But the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister and Trent Alexander-Arnold are not set to feature after their extended Euro 2024 and Copa America runs.
