Liverpool reveal 90s-inspired away kit

Liverpool have released their new away kit inspired by a classic 1990s design.

The 2023/24 change strip from Nike features a modern take on one launched ahead of the 1995/96 season, where the Anfield club reached the FA Cup final.

A green and white quarter pattern is comprised of a digital effect treatment layering tonal colours with a black round-neck collar and matching sleeve cuffs.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have already revealed another throwback design for next term with their home strip borrowing heavily from the classic 1973/74 shirt.

Reds’ legend Robbie Fowler took part in the official launch as a key member of the 95/96 squad who finished as top scorer with 36 goals in all competitions.

He said “I have fond memories of the 95/96 season; because of the iconic white and green away strip and for scoring my most goals in one season.

“I’m a huge fan of the new fresh take on the white and green away kit.”

Klopp’s players will debut their new away kit in a friendly against Leicester City on July 30 on the Singapore leg of their forthcoming pre-season tour.

The Liverpool 2023/24 away kit is available from LFC stores and online ahead of its official release day on Thursday, July 7.
