The match official spoke with both Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta on the touchline in stoppage time of the Reds’ eventual 3-2 reversal in the capital.
Jordan Henderson and Gabriel Margalhaes were seen in heated discussion during the incident in LIverpool’s penalty area late on in the match.
“We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool,” confirmed FA spokesperson.
“We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident.”
Liverpool fell behind to a Gabriel Martinelli strike in the first minute before Dawin Nunez drew the visitors level just 10 minutes before the interval.
But the hosts responded through Bukayo Saka deep into first-half added time, which was cancelled out by Roberto Firmino early into the second half.
