Calvin Ramsay is set to become Liverpool’s final summer signing.

Ramsay had attracted interest from Jurgen Klopp’s side and Premier League counterparts Leeds since impressing in his first full season for Aberdeen.

The 18-year-old was recently named Scotland’s Young Player of the Year and is now set to move to Anfield after a deal was struck with the SPFL outfit.

An initial £4 million fee has been agreed to secure Ramsay’s switch to the Reds, who will pay an additional £2.5M in performance-related bonuses.

He will link up with the Champions League finalists in early July for the start of pre-season with fellow summer recruits Fabio Carvalo and Darwin Nunez.

However the right-back’s arrival will be Liverpool’s final signing of this window despite a widespread belief that they still require midfield reinforcements.

Anfield chiefs are understood to be willing to wait until next summer, when Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will both be out of contract.

There was previously an interest in Monaco enforcer Aurelien Tchouameni before he secured a €100M transfer to Real Madrid earlier this month.

Jude Bellingham is another player who has emerged as a potential target for Liverpool but is not expected to leave Borussia Dortmund anytime soon.

The immediate priority is resolving the futures of several players including Takumi Minamino and Sadio Mane, who still wishes to join Bayern Munich.
