Liverpool are assessing the impact of Thomas Cook’s closure on its match hospitality.
The holidaymaker ceased trading with immediate effect on Monday after failing to secure the additional £200 million funding required to keep it afloat.
A total of 22,000 jobs worldwide are now under threat while around one million customers have been affected by the news with many currently stranded abroad.
But Thomas Cook’s closure has also had a knock-on impact for the Reds with 360 packages sold for every home game by the now-defunct tour operator.
Over 1,000 were sold to fans for the opening three Premier League fixtures at Anfield but question remain whether the remaining 5,760 will be honoured.
“We are aware Thomas Cook has ceased trading this morning,” read a club statement.
“Thomas Cook sells 360 hospitality packages for each of our home games at Anfield.
“We are currently assessing the impact of Thomas Cook ceasing trading and the impact for those supporters who have purchased packages from Thomas Cook.
“Once we have those details from Thomas Cook we will update supporters.”
