Trent Alexander-Arnold claims Liverpool fear no one in Friday’s Champions League semi-final draw.
Bayern Munich, Roma and reigning champions Real Madrid have booked their place alongside the Reds in the last four of Europe’s elite club competition.
A 5-1 aggregate win over Manchester City saw Jurgen Klopp’s side reach the semi-final with Alexander-Arnold a stand-out performer across the two legs.
And the full-back, who was nine when Liverpool last reached the Champions League semi-final, sees no reason for trepidation from the Anfield club.
He said: “I think throughout the whole tournament, there hasn’t really been a team who strikes fear into us.
“We’ve looked at it from the start that you’re in it to win it. As it goes on, you get closer and closer to getting that chance to win it and we’ve took another step closer to the final.
“There’s still two more games ahead fo us and whoever we draw on Friday we’ll look forward to the game and hopefully go out there and win over two legs to get to the final.”
Liverpool’s continental journey began almost eight months ago with a free kick goal from Alexander-Arnold in their qualifier with Hoffenheim.
“It’s been a long season and looking back on it now it seems like it was ages ago,” he admits.
“Obviously it was an unbelievable moment for me to maybe start it off and get the first goal of the campaign.
“Hopefully there will be more moments like that in the future.
“Maybe in the semis, or hopefully if we reach the final, there may be another moment like that.”
City aimed to pressure Alexander-Arnold in their semi-final clash with Klopp’s side but the teenager comfortably bested his opposite number in Leroy Sane.
“I guess that Man City looked at me as the weak link and maybe that gave me that underdog mentality to try and prove them wrong,” he added.
“That’s what I tried to do; to go and prove them wrong and show them that I’m not the weak link in the team.
“I think over the two legs I tried my best and did my best to win my personal battle and help us win the tie.”
