Mohamed Salah is in line to return for Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final.
Salah had been a doubt for Tuesday’s showdown with Manchester City after picking up a groin problem during last week’s first leg at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp chose not to risk the Egypt international as the Reds ultimately ground out a goalless Merseyside derby stalemate with Everton.
But Salah is now expected to play some part at the Etihad Stadium as he was cleared to join the squad for a pre-match training session on Monday evening.
Andy Robertson, who also missed the Goodison Park clash with a calf injury, also returned to full training at Melwood after being passed fit.
Speaking ahead of the City game, Klopp had remained cautiously optimistic that Salah would be available to again lead the line as Liverpool’s top scorer.
He said: “We’re not sure 100 per cent, he was with the athletic coach yesterday.
“Rather yes than no, but we have to wait and see for the reaction.”
