Jurgen Klopp has lamented the decision to reschedule the Merseyside derby.
The 231st meeting between Everton and Liverpool was originally rescheduled for Sunday, April 8 but will now take place a day earlier as a 12.30pm kick-off.
That decision to bring forward the game leaves the Reds with less recovery time after the first leg of their Champions League quarter final with Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side will take on Manchester United on the same day as Liverpool’s trip to Goodison Park in a game scheduled for a 5.30pm start.
And Klopp has lamented the Premier League’s plans to again alter the fixture.
He said: “I’m already angry to be honest because I heard a second ago that the Premier League will put our game against Everton at 12.30 on the Saturday.
“I know countries where they move games, that they cancel whole match days so their teams can play in a proper shape.
“We have to play Wednesday night against Man City and Everton at 12.30 three days later.
“I only heard a second ago so that’s not too cool but obviously we have to go the hard way and I’m used to that.”
“We play at 7.45 on Wednesday night and play [again] 12.30 on Saturday. The other team plays at 5.30,” added Klopp.
“Can you imagine how big the difference is in this five hours? It means the world in preparation, in recovery.
“Put it on at a normal time and not at breakfast.
