Mohamed Salah insists that he is happy playing for his boyhood club Liverpool.
Salah made the move to Anfield last summer in a £36.9 million switch from Rona and has flourished with 28 goals in 34 outings this season.
Last weekend’s brace against Tottenham took him over the 20-goal threshold in the Premier League, making him the quickest Reds player to reach that tally.
However speculation has seen Salah linked with a move away from Merseyside with recent reports in Spain claiming a move to Real Madrid is in the offing.
Salah, though, has laughed off any talk about his future in an interview with Four Four Two, saying scoring goals for his boyhood club is all that matters.
He said: “Ever since I was a kid, I had been a Liverpool fan – they were my favourite Premier League club.
“I’ve loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for.
“I knew the history that this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen.”
Although the Egypt international has been hailed for his blistering form, he is quick to credit manager Jurgen Klopp as a key catalyst in his rise to prominence.
“The boss has given me the chance to improve and show the world my football – that made up my mind to come,” added Salah.
“Is he the same every day as he is on the touchline? Yeah, definitely.
“He always wants to do his best for the team, to make everyone smile and be happy, which means every player wants to give 100 per cent for him.
“That’s what he gives us. He’s always motivated and wants to help each player in his squad improve.”
