Jurgen Klopp has urged Daniel Sturridge to put aside fears over his Liverpool future.
Sturridge’s fate at Anfield was again the subject of speculation on the eve of his side’s crucial Champions League group encounter with Sevilla.
The England international is said to be looking to leave the Reds in the January transfer window as he aims to cement a place at next summer’s World Cup.
But Klopp insists that Sturridge remains an integral part of his plans and implored the striker to remain focused despite his limited game-time.
He said: “I can imagine a player with his quality is not happy that he is not starting all the time, but that’s all.
“The situation with the player is completely okay. At this moment we are in November and need all our players – even if he feels a little different.
“There is around one-and-a-half months before the window opens and I don’t think about things like this.
“There are so many games before then and I need all of [the players].”
