Liverpool are one of six Premier League clubs pushing for a greater share of TV revenue.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham will join the Reds in backing the proposal set out by league chief Richard Scudamore.
All 20 member clubs will vote on whether overseas broadcasting revenues will be distributed based on where a team finishes in the table at Wednesday’s meeting.
Liverpool’s plans to deviate from the current equal rights share, in which clubs currently receive close to £40 million, has been supported by another three sides.
Local rivals Everton are among them, as are Leicester City and West Ham but the radical proposal would require backing from a further five clubs to be approved.
Scudamore’s alternate proposal would see 65 per cent of overseas TV money distributed evenly with the remainder awarded according to positional merit.
Anfield officials have regularly campaigned for an end to the Premier League’s equal rights share, beginning in 2011 under erstwhile chief executive Ian Ayre.
