On The Fringe tops entries for Crabbie’s Fox Hunters’ Chase

There are 39 entries for the Crabbie’s Fox Hunters’ Chase (amateur riders – Grand Opening Day, Thursday, April 7).
The Nina Carberry-ridden On The Fringe (Enda Bolger – 5/2 favourite with Betfred,) followed up his Cheltenham success with a facile victory in the Crabbie’s Foxhunter Chase 12 months ago and is on course to repeat the double after a narrow victory over Marito (Colin McBratney, 8/1) in the St James’s Place Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham last week.
Other eye-catching entries include 2014 scorer Warne (Robert Waley-Cohen, 12/1), last year’s runner-up Pacha Du Polder (Paul Nicholls, 7/1), who gave Victoria Pendleton a dream run when fifth in last week’s St James’s Place Foxhunter Chase, and Salsify (Rodger Sweeney, 14/1), who won the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham in 2012 and 2013.
Grade One-winning hurdler Marasonnien (Willie Mullins, 10/1) is also engaged.
