Part of Liverpool’s bustling Ropewalks was closed off after a fire broke out in the area.
The blaze originated from a building in Slater Place off Wolstenholme Square, close to the former home of city super club Cream, shortly after 7.30pm on Friday, June 24.
Crews from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service sealed off the surrounding areas, including Parr Street, as they tackled the inferno which had spread to a roof space as smoke hung in the air above the city centre.
Almost two hours after it had originally broken out, the blaze was finally contained.
