Man arrested over racist Salah tweets

Police have quickly arrested a man they believe sent racists messages on twitter about Liverpool FC’s Mo Salah.

The post caused outrage from fans on both sides of the park who were shocked by the content of the tweets.

Everton released a statement regarding the incident where they condemned the messages and said that all information had been passed to the relevant authorities.

Police today confirmed that they have arrested a man from Waterloo suspected of being behind the messages as well as other offences.

A police spokesman confirmed that a 32-year-old man had been arrested and is currently being interviewed by detectives.
