Everton condemn racist Salah tweet

Everton Football Club have come out and spoke against a number of racist tweets about LFC’s Mo Salah that were sent by an alleged fan.

The posts caused uproar on social media from both  Liverpool and Everton fans who were shocked by the content of the tweets.

Everton released a statement saying ” Everton condemns in the strongest terms any kind of racism. We have shared the material with the appropriate authorities and are looking in to the matter further to understand if the Twitter user in question is known to the club in any way”

The incident comes in the shortly after Blues fans showed their support for their new signing Moise Kean who was subjected to racist abuse in Italy.

Everton fan group, County Road Bobblers, have started a campaign on JustGiving that has seen over £3,000 for a new banner to show the new signing that racism is not tollerated at Goodison.
