Three people have been arrested over a homophobic knife attack in Anfield.
Two men in their 30s suffered head, neck and hand injuries after being confronted by a group of youths in Manningham Road on Saturday, June 22.
Homophobic insults were aimed in the pair’s direction before one of the group produced a knife and assaulted them.
Police searching for the offenders described the group as aged between 12 and 15 years old and have now detained three males in connection with the attack.
Detectives have now confirmed that three boys, aged 12, 13 and 14 have all been arrested on suspicion of homophobic aggravated s47 assault.
The 12-year-old and 13-year-old were released on conditional bail as of Thursday afternoon but the 14-year-old remains in custody.
