A man has fallen to his death from the top floor of Liverpool’s Central Library.
Emergency services were called to William Brown Street shortly after 9.15am on Wednesday following reports that a man had fallen from the library’s atrium.
The building was evacuated as police and ambulance crews attended the scene.
Merseyside Police confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious and are in the process of preparing a file for the coroner’s office.
It is believed that the man who died was in his 40s and from the Toxteth area but officers remain in the process of informing his next of kin.
