A pedestrian has died after being hit by a bus in Edge Hill.
Police received a report shortly before 11.15am on Monday that a 54-year-old man had been involved in a collision with a bus in Wavertree Road.
He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury but was later pronounced dead. The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Officers have confirmed that the bus driver is assisting Merseyside Police with their enquiries.
