A host of Liverpool stars joined local schools to celebrate Safer Internet Day.
Reds striker Rhian Brewster as well as Ladies players Leigh-Anne Robe and Kirsty Linnett took part in the event with 500 schoolchildren at Anfield on Wednesday.
In conjunction with NordVPN, the club’s official cyber security partner, pupils were given handy tips for staying safe online and also received goodie bags.
Parental consent and cyber bullying were among the subjects addressed with 29 schools from the Merseyside area to promote a responsible use of technology.
Speaking to Click Liverpool, Brewster admitted that the importance of educating youngsters about the internet in an ever-changing digital landscape is crucial.
He said: “I think that being safe on the internet is very crucial these days because you’ve got a lot of people out there and you know what happens in the world.
“To hear [about] it from the likes of me and the Ladies’ football team, I think they’ll listen more because it’s not just coming from their parents or their school.
“It’s coming from people they look up to.”
