A mural dedicated to fans is part of Liverpool FC’s latest proposals for Anfield.
Major changes for fans and residents on match days could be introduced as early as next month as part of new plans to focus on parking around the stadium.
Liverpool City Council posted an advert on a public website looking for a company to manage match day and event parking between February and July.
The external contractor has the potential to oversee the rest of the current season as well as a number of music concerts scheduled to take place over the summer.
It is unclear what exactly the council are requiring the company to manage.
The description on the Government website says “Liverpool City Council seek proposals for land on Walton Breck Road Liverpool for a five month licence period.
“Suitable for car parking in relation to sports fixtures and events at Liverpool Football club and Everton Football Club.”
Separately, Liverpool have put forward its own planning permission to install a mosaic mural on the side of the new club shop in Walton Breck Road.
The plans would see a mosaic dedicated to the fans placed on the side of the shop. It will feature images sent in to the club by supporters.
The mural will feature the words from the clubs iconic anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone” as well as featuring images of both the club and the city.
The planning permission states the mosaic will reach from ground level to approximately 6.7m high and will be nearly 14m wide.
