Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in the leg in Walton.
Armed officers and the ambulance service were called to Rice Lane at around 6.10pm on Wednesday to reports a man in his 20s had been shot in the leg.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries are not described as serious and his condition is described as stable.
Officers carried out forensic, CCTV and witness enquiries in the area to establish the circumstances, and to provide reassurance in the community.
