A post mortem undertaken on a 13-year-old girl who died at home has failed to find the cause of her death.
Merseyside Police confirmed that the teenager died at a home in Rainhill in the early hours of Monday December 3.
The cause of her death remains unexplained pending forensic analysis and the investigation is ongoing. A post mortem has found no explanation for her death.
The scene has now been closed and the family is being supported by officers and other partners.
