Fresh arrests in raids over Brandon Regan murder

Five men have been arrested in connection with Brandon Regan’s murder.

Detectives investigating the 17-year-old’s fatally stabbing on January 28 in Critchley Road executed warrants in Speke, Belle Vale and Widnes on Thursday morning.

A 24-year-old from Belle Vale, a 22-year-old from Widnes and three men from Speke, aged 33, 25 and 32, have all been arrested on suspicion of murder.

All five will be taken to police stations for questioning by detectives.

Seven people had previously been questioned in connection with the investigation, but no-one is yet to be charged.
