Liverpool’s Giant Spectacular to be last in the world

Jean Luc Courcoult, the founder of the street theatre company behind the giants – Royal De Luxe has confirmed that the giants will be retired after their journey around Liverpool in October.

During the press conference, Jean Luc confirmed that this is the very last opportunity to see the giants as the Royal De Luxe company will seek further street theatre opportunities in the future.

The Giants can be viewed in various locations on 5th-7th October 2018 and details of the route can be found here.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the spectacular details regarding the theme of the event and it has been revealed that Liverpool will play host to the Little Boy Giant for the very first time.

The route has already been revealed and this time The Giants will spend some time across the water in New Brighton before heading over to Liverpool.

Whist details surrounding the event are still limited, Jean Luc Courcoult, revealed that there will be a Masquerade Ball theme to part of the celebrations.

Jean-Luc said: “When I go out (in Liverpool) I see people dressed so strangely, so Liverpool is perfect for a masked ball.”

As well as this The Giant who paraded around Liverpool as a diver will find himself washed up in New Brighton on 5th October 2018.

It has also been confirmed that crowd favourite, Xolo, will return with The Giants on their final spectacular journey.
