Two men have been cleared over the death of a man at a Liverpool nightclub.
Anthony Condron was fatally injured during an altercation inside the Maya club on Wood Street during the early hours of February 3 this year.
The 29-year-old had been on a night out with his girlfriend at the time.
Jamie Addison and Joseph Booth were arrested over Mr Condron’s death but have been acquitted of manslaughter by a jury at Liverpool Crown Court.
The pair had originally been due to face murder charges but they were reduced following the plea of a third defendant, Paul Byrne, in June.
Byrne, 23, from Mossley Hill is due to be sentence at a later date after admitting manslaughter and inflicting grievous bodily harm on a second man.
Aigburth resident Booth, 25, had denied the second charge but was found guilty by the jury and sentenced to 16 months behind bars on Wednesday.
In addition to the manslaughter acquittal, Addison was also cleared of GBH.
