A man has been taken to hospital following a suspected kidnapping in Huyton.
Police were called to a property in Woodhurst Close at around 6.30pm on Friday to reports that a man had been kidnapped and assaulted.
A man in his 30s was discovered with serious injuries at the scene and has been taken to hospital, where his condition is said to be serious but stable.
Detectives have arrested six men in connection with the incident.
Two teenagers aged 17 and 18, two 28-year-olds, a 23-year-old and a 40-year-old were detained on suspicion of various offences including kidnap.
