A teenage girl has died after being hit by a car in Birkenhead.
The 19-year-old pedestrian was walking on Conway Street just before midnight on Sunday when the incident with a black Honda Civic happened.
Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital but she later died as a result of her injuries. Her next of kin have been informed.
The driver was uninjured and is helping police officers with their enquiries.
