A huge grime festival, due to be held at Prenton Park, has been cancelled due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
The festival named The May Weekender as due to be held at the home of Tranmere Rovers in May however a statement on twitter has revealed that the event has now been cancelled.
The event team took to social media to say “We are sorry to inform that due to unforeseen circumstances, the May Weekender festival at Prenton Park has been cancelled.
“Full refunds for tickets will be available from the original point of purchase.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, enthusiasm and involvement so far.”
The May Weekender had secured a huge line up prior to cancelling. No further reasoning behind the cancellation has been made available.
