A 47 year-old man has been handed a sixteen year jail sentence for sex offences involving juveniles.
Junior Hill has today been jailed for 16 years at Liverpool Crown Court after he was found guilty of two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault by penetration and four counts of sexual touching against juveniles.
The offences were committed between 2012 and 2015.
Detective Constable Simon Broadhurst said: “The victims in this case have shown great strength and courage throughout the investigation.
“Their ordeal was made worse by Hill continuing to maintain his innocence and forcing this matter to a trial but I hope that today’s sentencing will allow them to move forward with their lives.
“Hill will spend a long time behind bars where I hope that he reflects on his actions and the impact it has had on his victims.
“I also hope the bravery of his victims will encourage other victims to come forward. Merseyside Police will provide every help and support to all victims of this type of crime.
“I would like to take this opportunity to reassure anyone who has suffered a sexual offence that if you can find the courage to come forward and speak to us, no matter how long ago it occurred. We will deal with you sensitively and make sure that reports are properly and thoroughly investigated.”
