Arriva bus transformed into Christmas wonderland for disadvantaged kids

Forget Santa’s sleigh; as it’s the season of goodwill, Arriva has transformed one of its buses into a magical Christmas wonderland to help collect presents for disadvantaged children and families across Liverpool.

Throughout December, Arriva will be teaming up with Radio City’s charity Cash for Kids for its annual Mission Christmas campaign, opening the festive bus doors in various locations around Merseyside.

The Christmas bus will serve as a present drop off point where people can make their festive gift donation to the charity. Once onboard, visitors will also be able to sit on Santa’s throne and have their photo taken with the man in the red suit himself.

Julie Linforth, Arriva Marketing Director, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Cash for Kids on such a worthwhile cause. We hope that this will make donating presents even more accessible, and that once on board, people will enjoy the festive delights that the Christmas bus has to offer.”

Carole Clare, Charity Manager, Cash for Kids, Radio City commented: “We are very grateful that Arriva have chosen to get involved with our Mission Christmas campaign. Last year we helped over 30,000 local children wake up to a gift on Christmas morning and we expect demand to increase this year. This is a brilliant opportunity for us to raise awareness and encourage the public to donate a gift for local children living in poverty this Christmas.”

Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in our communities so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential. Based across 22 areas in the UK, it supports children aged 0-18 who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.
