Merseyside Police have charged a local man with attempted murder following a mass brawl in the city centre on Wednesday night.
Originally Merseyside Police had arrested in excess of 20 German nationals following a mass brawl that broke out on Wednesday night. Two local men, , five German nationals, a Spanish national and an Iranian national arrested on suspicion of violent disorder offences all remained in custody today whilst being quizzed by detectives.
Merseyside police confirmed this afternoon that Ryan Lacey, 23, had been charged with attempted murder and Section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this afternoon (Friday, 24 November 2017).
