A man is in hospital after a mass brawl broke out in Concert Square.
Police were called to the Liverpool city centre nightspot at just after 11.20pm on Wednesday to reports of a disturbance involving members of the public and door staff.
One man was taken to hospital with a head injury following the incident which took place in the Concert Square and Wood Street areas.
Eyewitnesses claimed that between 30 and 40 people were involved in the skirmishes while mobile phone footage showed the scale of the fighting.
Chairs and bottles were seen being thrown between the sparring factions, which resulted in four people later being arrested for public order offences.
Football fans in the city for Everton’s Europa League game with Atalanta were also claimed to have been involved in the incident but remains unconfirmed.
