easyHotel receives Tripadvisor bashing after delays

Liverpool’s new easyHotel has been subject to furious Tripadvisor reviews before it has even opened it’s doors to the public. The backlash comes as the hotel’s opening has been delayed.

Guests who have had rooms booked for months in advance have taken to Tripadvisor to vent after having stays cancelled just days before their arrival.

One person took to the review site to state that the delay had “ruined” their friends hen night in the city.

easyHotel has apologised directly to those affected by the delay and cancellations. easyHotel has now said that the Castle Street hotel will open in November.

The hotel chain is owned by easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Iannou and has plans to convert 4 floors above the popular Bacaro Restaurant in to a 68 room hotel. It had been reported that the hotel would have opened in August but delays are ongoing.

A week ago Lauren J posted on Tripadvisor: “I reserved this room through booking.com back at the beginning of the year after buying tickets for a concert… we have now been informed just 5 days before we go that the room has been cancelled!!! RIDICULOUS.

The easyHotel on Castle Street is still not ready for customers however there have been signs of progression as the scaffolding has now been removed from the building.
