Four men have been arrested in connection with a shooting on a Speke house.
Damage was caused to a property in Eastern Avenue on July 3 after a man opened fire following what is believed to have been a brief exchange of words.
Detectives executed seven warrants across Speke, Halewood and Fairfield on Monday as part of their investigation into the incident earlier this month.
Two men from Halewood, aged 26 and 27 respectively, have been arrested on suspicion of firearms and drugs offences.
An 18-year-old from Halewood, was detained on suspicion of drugs offences while a 31-year-old from Speke has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
A quantity of what is believed to be Class A and B drugs were also recovered during the raids.
Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: “Merseyside Police is committed to fighting serious and organised crime and finding the people who recklessly discharge firearms.
“But we cannot do this alone. We need the community to come forward with information about where firearms are being stored and the people who are using them.”
Anyone who has any information about gun crime is asked to contact officers on the Matrix Serious and Organised Crime gun crime hotline on 0800 230 0600 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
