Liverpool has been crowned the second healthiest city to live in the UK.
Findings in a recent survey took into account how geographic locations affected people’s lifestyle, from dieting, alcohol and smoking intake and exercising.
Flying Homes found that 20% of Liverpool residents have one or less units of alcohol per week while the same number are less likely to go binge-drinking.
The results also showed that 62% of people in the city have a commitment to a balanced lifestyle by ordering a take-away either once a week or not at all.
Only Bristol ranked higher than Liverpool as the healthiest city across the UK.
Scott Simpson, director at Flying Homes, said: “Liverpool is a wonderful city which is full of rich culture and history, so this is another great achievement that Liverpudlians should be proud of.”
However the city’s exercising habits placed it in the country’s bottom five with 18% of people surveyed claiming that they never work out at all
