Police have arrested two men over videos relating to the UK terror attacks.
Footage surfaced on social media of a man wearing a fake grenade while a series of threats were made towards mosques and followers of the Islam religion.
The man also brandishes a machete on camera in the video, which was published in the aftermath of the recent atrocities in Manchester and London.
Merseyside Police have investigated the clip after it was brought to their attention and have subsequently detained two men on suspicious of public order offences.
Detectives will question a 39-year-old from Mossley Hill over the offensive video.
Another man, also 39, from Kirkby was arrested in connection with a separate video in which numerous anti-Islamic and anti-Semitic remarks were made.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “The force takes all reports of hate crime seriously and incidents are investigated by specially trained detectives.”
