CCTV image released in GBar sex attack probe

Police have issued a CCTV image image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with a sex attack in Liverpool city centre last month.

The incident took place in the early hours of March 11 in the male toilet at the G-Bar when the victim was approached by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

Door staff at the Eberle Street venue assisted in escorting the man away from the premises but he has not been identified following extensive enquiries.

The man is described as black, 25-30 years old, 5ft 10in – 6ft tall, of broad / athletic build, with black hair, a thin, black beard, and was wearing a gold/black baseball cap, a dark t-shirt and dark-coloured jeans.

Detective Inspector Martha Allbutt said: “We are keen to speak to the man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, immediately.

“This was an distressing incident which has left the victim traumatised and we are determined to identify the person responsible.”
