Police are appealing for information after a man was left at Fazakerley hospital with stab wounds.
The 21-year-old is thought to be in a stable condition after receiving treatment in the early hours of Sunday morning for stab wounds to his hand and side.
Detectives believe that the victim had been left at the hospital by unknown parties in a light coloured van with blacked out windows.
An investigation is in its early stages and the motive for the attack is unknown, although it is believed to be targeted. Detectives are waiting to speak to the victim.

CCTV footage is set to be examined in a bid to gather further information.
