CCTV appeal launched into St Johns sex attacks

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following allegations of two sexual assaults in Liverpool city centre last month.

The offences occurred at around 4pm on January 18 in St Johns Shopping Centre a 16-year-old girl and 45-year-old woman were both sexually assaulted.

Neither women were injured in the separate incidents but were left distressed by their ordeal.

Merseyside Police has issued an image of a man who they believe could help them with their enquiries.

Robert Bradley, centre manager at St Johns, said: “We take the safety of our customers at St Johns Shopping Centre very seriously.

“As such, we are assisting the police with their investigations into two incidents; one of which is alleged to have taken place within the centre and another outside.

“We are also encouraging any of our shoppers who may have information to share it with the police.”
