Storyhouse unveil Spring 2018 schedule

The Chester venue has revealed a selection of headline shows in comedy, dance, opera all set to take place in Spring 2018.

Storyhouse opened back in May, costing £37million and is located in the heart of Chester’s city centre.

Kicking off the Spring season is the science and art combination Charge, on February 6. The show has six performers using acrobatics and dance to educate about the vital energy our bodies use.

St. Petersburg Ballet a Classic will perform an adaptation of the classic tale Swan Lake, directed by Marina Medvetskaya. The company will also give a performance of Gisela.

The two iconic performances will take place from February 16 to 18.

Popular comedienne Sarah Millican, will be stopping at the Storyhouse on February 22 as part of her latest tour, Control Enthusiast.

The following night, more comedy is set to come to Chester as a David Baddiel brings his award-winning stand-up My Family: Not The Sitcom to the Storyhouse on February 23rd.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole on March 17. The ballroom dancer will be joined by special guests for his entertaining show, All Night Long.

English Touring Opera conclude the season on March 22 with a night of classical music, performing compositions from the likes of Mozart and Pucunni.

Storyhouse Chief Executive Andrew Bentley, commented: “The past few months have been incredible; we’ve had a great reception here in Chester and our programme is going from strength to strength. We can’t wait to enter our second year with a fantastic line up that I know audiences will love.”

The announcement of the spring season will follow an exciting Autumn with the likes of Jon Richardson, Footloose, Blood Brothers and more come to Storyhouse later this year.
