Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre is set to open its doors and give the public a behind-the-scenes look at their Everyman Company Season.
The company, a mix of local voices, renowned performers and emerging talent, will be appearing in five productions at the Everyman until July.
The Hope Street theatre plans to open its doors on Saturday, January 28 to give people a unique opportunity to discover how plans for the coming months are taking shape.
The Open House at the Everyman runs from Midday to 5 pm and will include, cast, writer and director Q&As, music, backstage tours and interactive activities. There will also be a treasure hunt for younger audiences.
Visitors will also be given the chance to talk with the actors, share lunch with the whole team in the theatre’s bistro and meet with members of the theatre’s community groups.
The rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof and The Conquest of the South Pole will also be opened up for interested viewers to get a sneak peak at both productions.
Poetry fans will be treated to a special Platform event from Paddy Hughes, while there will also be music from Lizzie Nunnery’s The Sum and a chance to hear from The Story Giant Author Brian Patten.
Artistic Director Gemma Bodinetz said: “By having a Rep Company we’re creating a family. We want the open day to create a conversation between our artists and our audiences.”
