Liverpool retailer Rapid Discount Outlet is set to close its doors for the final time.
The city centre hardware store will cease trading on Tuesday after entering administration at the start of this month for a second time in four years.
In 2010, they had vacated their original store on Renshaw Street after almost 40 years and moved to Basnett Street across from St John’s Shopping Precinct.
Customers have been offered discounts of up to 70% on remaining stock as the company prepares to make job losses with around 20 people set to be affected.
Administrators Duff & Phelps. who are handling the process, confirmed that those existing employees will be ‘supported through redundancy proceedings’.
Rapid Hardware originally entered administration in February 2013 before relanching a month later in its current form as its Discount Outlet.
