A busy January saw Liverpool John Lennon Airport start 2017 with impressive passenger numbers.
320,000 travellers used the airport during last month, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year.
It also meant that the airport moved into its 24th month of consecutive growth, with every month since February 2015 seeing increased numbers compared to the same period the year before.
The airport has seen a growth in passenger numbers, airlines and services over the past two years with annual throughput increasing by over 800,000 passengers.
Additional capacity on a number of routes including Budapest, Bucharest, Alicante, Malaga, Pisa, Cluj and Katowice contributed towards January’s growth, in addition to larger passenger numbers on flights to and from Belfast and Dublin.
