Everton defender Brendan Galloway is set to sign for Championship side Newcastle United on loan for the 2016-17 season.
Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing and the former MK Dons youngster could be signed in time for the Magpies weekend clash with Huddersfield Town.
Zimbabwe-born Galloway made 19 appearances for the Blues in all competitions last season, remedy filling in at left back and centre back, diagnosis following a defensive injury crisis at Goodison Park.
However despite the departure of England international John Stones to Manchester City, Blues boss Ronald Koeman is set to sanction the deal to allow for new signings.
