Ryan Gravenberch is set to miss Liverpool’s latest Champions League encounter.
Andoni Iraola’s side will fly out to Istanbul on Tuesday ahead of their league phase meeting with Fenerbahce but will do so without the Netherlands international.
Gravenberch was an unused substitute during the Reds’ Premier League defeat to Arsenal last weekend with fellow midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai introduced instead.
But the 24-year-old has now been confirmed as an absence for the trip to Istanbul due to a heel injury which will be treated by the club’s medical team on Merseyside.
“Ryan Gravenberch has been ruled out of Liverpool’s Champions League fixture at Fenerbahce,” read a club statement.
“A heel injury means the midfielder will not be part of the Reds’ travelling squad for Wednesday’s meeting with the Turkish side in Istanbul.
“He will instead remain at the AXA Training Centre to undergo treatment with the club’s medical team.”
