Liverpool John Lennon Airport has been ranked top of the ‘on time’ timetable.
Latest figures released by the Civil Aviation Authority show that in 2025 the Speke terminal had the best on time performance record of any airport across the UK.
At least 81% of flights out of Liverpool were found to be operating within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time, marking up a 5% improvement on 2024.
The airport also led the way with an 8% higher than the UK airport’s average time.
The findings come as LJLA prepares for its busiest weekend of the year with passengers taking advantage of the first Bank Holiday weekend at the start of this year’s ‘Easter getaway’.
Over 70,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport over the long weekend as travelers from across the region jet off to a host of destinations.
As ever with this being a particularly busy period for the airport, passengers are advised to arrive in plenty of time ahead of their departure, whilst a number of road works in the area may also impact on travel times to the airport too.
Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said: “Liverpool is renowned as the region’s faster, easier, friendlier airport and its now official – we’re the UK’s most on time airport too, which is another reason why millions of passengers from across the region now make Liverpool their airport of choice.
“As we move to our busier summer season, we look forward to welcoming thousands of passengers through the airport this Bank Holiday weekend, and in the coming weeks and months ahead.”
